Drifting (River Lives)

Drifting (River Lives) Drifting All the while The world slow Whispered time Moments in repose Each bend a new thought Each rapid turbulent past recalled Words spoken lost to eddy and swirl Silence. Hear now the lap lap lap of water Like recurring memories splashing and Dampening mood to chill cold & shiver Or invigorating energising encouraging Another bend, another lost horizon But upon rounding another unfolds Paddle on for there is more to see Or make shore a chance for rest Light fades warmth subsides Drifting all the while Only drifting
