The Dance (Nature's Performance)

The Dance (Nature's Performance) When autumn colours dance Joyous resplendent radiant Delighting in summer's final farewell Leaves aflame in a last vivid display Awaiting that inevitable breath of changing seasons To send them exhausted fading in hue Fading with the shortening hours of daylight While branches shake with gusto In gusts of reverent gratitude Stripped bare to bark and twig Autumn sinks slowly to wintered nights and days Leaf bare but sprinkled in white Of frost and snow Seasons change And new performances take the stage And nature takes another bow _____________________________ Autumn is always a favourite time of year...with vibrant colours and constant inspiration at the miracle of nature and season's change.
