Snowflakes & Memories Did you see them pass? Wind borne and quiet recalled; Frozen snowflaked memories Of innumerable infinite shape Drifting to consciousness Did you feel them touch? Crisp are those memories That invigorate and recall Happy moments spent In the warmth of togetherness Did you hear their sad lament? For those memories which painful sting In the cold of sadness And the snows of regret Now compact lie Did you watch them swirl and land? Each flake a moment in time A presence laid permanent Until riven in the tumult On winds that destroy
