The Flood

The Flood Standing still, transfixed As silver flood waters rise What is lost, unseen Water laps at memories Hidden in those rippled depths Never to surface Yet in time, subsides The anguish of grief's waters Life to re-emerge The flood disappears Untraced, as if never there Memories returning _____________________________ Grief is a flood that overwhelms and engulfs, threatening to submerge memories and feelings of those we have lost. But the flood waters always subside in time. And those memories and feelings surface once more. For Milla xx
