Reed Tales

Reed Tales The reeds wind-whispered A thousand water tales flowed Then silence returned _____________________________ A bike ride in late winter sunshine. A gentle wind and a clear afternoon sky. A rest by the canal, a flotilla of ducks swam past marshalled by the resident pair of nesting swans. The reeds rustled in the gentle breeze. Each breath of wind shaking new tales from the reeds, absorbed in the calm water. I find such tranquility listening to the quiet of nature. 5 minutes in silence, only the quietest of nature sounds and I return restored,

reinvigorated. Happy.
