Patient - Morning Light
Patient - Morning Light Patient was the morning light, Waiting for the wind breath. Becalmed, as yet unwoken. And the river rippled silver, Shimmering with promise, For current, happy flow. The night's chill lingered In the peace of dawnlight, The sun weak, but emboldened. And leaves held steadfast. Refusing the temptation of autumn fall, Summer staid, patient as morning light. _________________________________ We leave summer memories, on the cusp of autumn's lengthening nights and chill dawns. But for now the dawn is crisp, clear, full of hope still.
