Self Isolation

Self Isolation Staying indoors To self isolate. Not venturing beyond The garden gate. Stocking up aplenty, On biscuits and tea. Washing hands 20 times, After every sneeze. Watching all your Favourite old DVDs. Balancing a 1,000 piece jigsaw On your pyjama-ed knees. Boiling kettles non-stop, For endless cuppas. Playing dusty board games Bed straight after supper. Picking up the phone, For long overdue conversations. Social distancing from everyone To protect the nation. Reading all those books You'd always promised to read. Filling the bird feeder And planting summer's seeds. Spending months in isolation Through the changing weather Knowing we can, we must, Get through this together. _________________________________ Self Isolation. If you are in self isolation, don't despair. Do those things you always wanted to do, but never found the time. Read, write, play music, bake, phone family and friends, Skype or WhatsApp video calls. We must ensure we protect everyone, especially the elderly or disabled and vulnerable. But we must remain positive and proactive. We can, we must get through this together. Love and peace.
