Early Walks

Early Walks

The world was still asleep.

My silent steps disturbed no one.

The stillness of the ducks & swans

Necks turned & tucked,

Like ornaments in the grey-light,

Glistening with dawn-dew.

Even the wind was not ready

To awaken the leaves.

Not yet it whispered.

Not yet.

The Morning Constitutional

5 mile walk at 5:40am around Worcester, by the race course and the River Severn and back along the canal.

I am fortunate to live in a very picturesque city.
