Was ever the signal winter's closed it's chilling page
The turning of new leaf in spring's lengthening days
From land barren, dormant of colour, nature's palette now emerged
Erupting with life in garden, field, hedge and verge
Bowing down before warming sun yellow majestic daffodil
Bluebell spread in forest, woods and on sloping hill
As winter bids it's drawn out farewell
Spring forth, let all be well
