Autumn Descends

As summer finally gives way to the chill of autumn, nature's finest display begins; never finer than on a crisp clear beautiful sunny day.

The photograph was taken by the River Severn in Worcester

Autumn Descends

Autumn descends as Nature elegant displays Colours sublime painted By delicate twigged finger To decorate leafy canvas A gallery in ochre tawny russet & gold While a foliage of green patiently waits Conspicuously old but now To turn from blanket bland uninteresting To dawn a full portrait in vermilion and crimson Honey and biscuit tangerine and lemon The flavours of Autumn rich and heady Dissipated unrestrained A dance of vibrant strokes
