Where the Water Slows

Where the Water Slows Find where the water slows Passing in rippled silence And peaceful reflection. A mirrored quiet Of light and sky. Eddying calm And tranquil, Peaceful Thought. A poem of calm. We are all consumed with the rapids of life, churning, turmoil, stress, excess, overloading, overflowing, turbulence. But we all need the still water and silence. Find where the water slows and spend some time beside it. A canal side, a lake, a gently flowing stream or river, the quietened sea. Stay silent, becalmed, at peace, restful, absorbing light and calm.
