There Is Sadness In The Mountains

There Is Sadness In The Mountains There is sadness in the mountains Each alone in hushed silence Those mighty mountains Ranged in togetherness But lost in solitude There is sadness in the mountains They cannot speak of triumphs But only recall the tragedies For triumphs are fleeting And tragedies permanent There is sadness in the mountains And we are all mountains Our triumphs surpassed by our tragedies The mountains are silent But listen and you will hear them weep
